This plus size royal blue prom dress pairs a strapless sheer corset-style bodice with a fitted satin mermaid skirt. Floral lace appliqués, beaded detailing, and visible boning add texture above the dipped V-waistline, while asymmetric hip draping and vertical back ruching define the skirt's gathered finish. A thigh-high slit and sweep train bring drama to the long silhouette, with crisscross lacing across the low back for some bodice adjustment. Picture arrival photos with simple earrings and the rich blue fabric as the focal point. Available in US sizes 14-26, SELENA offers a statement option for prom and formal evenings.
Frequently Asked Questions
What should I know about the satin skirt and plus size fit?
The existing product information describes the satin skirt as a stretch blend, but no stretch percentage is confirmed. Compare your bust, waist, and hip measurements with the size chart rather than sizing down in anticipation of stretch. Check the fitted skirt while sitting and walking.
What does the vertical back ruching add to the design?
The gathered back seam adds texture and follows the fitted lines of the mermaid skirt. Together with the asymmetric hip draping, it creates a defined decorative finish rather than a guaranteed shaping or compression effect.
What should I consider about the strapless sheer bodice?
The lace bodice includes see-through areas, so plan undergarments around your preferred coverage and bust support. Adjust the back lacing comfortably without overtightening. If you want added straps, confirm attachment options and whether compatible straps are included before ordering rather than assuming they are available.
