Will the rhinestone lace bodice feel scratchy or uncomfortable against the skin?

No. FOLRIA uses 3D lace appliqués with hand-placed crystals rather than flat printed embellishments — the lace sits on top of the structured corset bodice rather than directly against your skin. The interior of the bodice is fully lined with a smooth fabric layer, so you won't feel the embellishments at all. The internal boning provides actual waist-cinching support and keeps the bodice firmly in place, preventing any shifting or rubbing throughout the night.

I'm between two sizes — how do I size for this mermaid corset gown, and what's currently in stock?

Always size to your largest measurement — typically hips or bust. For mermaid silhouettes, the hip and thigh fit is the most critical — if your hips fall between sizes, go up. The lace-up corset back allows you to cinch the waist by 1–2 inches for a snatched fit, but the satin skirt has minimal stretch, so sizing down risks restricted movement. Yes — the high-leg slit is specifically designed to allow natural movement in an otherwise fitted mermaid silhouette. The slit parts naturally with your stride, making walking and dancing comfortable. The sweep train adds dramatic visual impact without dragging heavily underfoot — it flows behind you rather than catching on your heels. For dancing, lead with your hips to let the slit work with your movement. Sitting is manageable but the fitted skirt will feel snug — we recommend practicing before your event.
